Britannical, the British luxury children’s clothing brand for boys and girls up to 12 years of age – is pleased to announce the release of their AW20 collection ‘Young London’ online and across its international stockists.

The collection sees Britannical coming of age as a luxury children’s outerwear specialist, with over ten intricate coat styles, each inspired by a separate districts of London.

For girls, there are pieces like the two-tone Kensington gallery coat, in both traditional and pastel colour stories, and the vibrant 1960s inspired Islington weekend coat. For boys, there are pieces like the intricate boys Marylebone pea coat in navy, with subtle red tipping.

They also have the unisex Clerkenwell reefer jacket in fine couture cloth.

‘Young London’ showcases Britannical’s emphasis on attention to detail, statement-making style, and immaculate tailoring.

All the coats in the collection are handcrafted in the heart of London by skilled artisans, using natural and sustainable cloth from Britain’s oldest woollen mills. ‘Young London’ fuses traditional and forward-looking style influences in pieces that tell a story of true British luxury.

Britannical was founded in 2013 by Rachael Attwood Hamard, a historian and fashion designer – who comes from a family of London coat makers. Her family owned a tailoring shop in the 1880’s, a short distance from where Britannical now makes all it’s clothes.

They are an ethical, award-winning luxury children’s coat specialist. All of their products are finely tailored for boys and girls aged 1-10 years, using the finest British craftsmanship and premium wool cloth, sourced from mills with more than 200 years of history.

I founded Britannical to create a luxury children’s coat brand that stood for true luxury, attention to detail, and integrity, in an industry increasingly dominated by mass-production, offshoring, and all too often dubious labour practices. I wanted to foreground British craftsmanship and draw upon my family’s heritage in London tailoring to create extra special pieces that would be treasured from one generation to the next.
