M+LKPLUS Launches ‘Grab And Go’ Flavoured Oat Milk, In Recyclable Bottle

M+LKPLUS Flavoured Oat Milk

Alternative milk brand, M+LKPLUS has added a new oat milk product to its existing range.

The thick and creamy chocolate orange formula is low in sugar, fortified with vitamin D and calcium, – and comes with added vitamin B12. The new flavour continues to innovate in the market, as the first ‘grab and go’ 330ml flavoured oat milk drink.

For the launch, M+LKPLUS has redesigned its packaging, which comes in a striking orange and pink bottle. The packaging is lightweight, easy to transport and is 100% recyclable. Aseptic technology allows the product inside to stay fresh, without the need for any preservatives, with a shelf life of 6 months.

Chocolate Orange Oat joins existing flavours: Salted Honeycomb Hazelnut and Strawberry Cheesecake Cashew, which are already making waves in the market.

Founder Camilla Ainsworth setup M+LKPLUS to appeal to everyday consumers looking to cut down on their everyday dairy consumption.

All flavours are Vegan Society approved, meaning that they meet strict criteria and carry the trademark to prove it. M+LKPLUS products are featured by the Lancashire NHS Trust throughout their hospitals, in staff and in customer restaurants and are also endorsed by their nutritional teams.

M+LK PLUS started when Camilla Ainsworth, the founder, was working on a cow farm in Australia, as part of the three month regional work needed to obtain a second year visa.

Just two weeks in, a rash all over her arms and back emerged, and she discovered it was due to a dairy intolerance. And so she set out on a mission to look for an exciting dairy alternative, but all she could find was plain almond milk, full of sugars and additives with lack lustre branding.

So, the idea to create an exciting nut drink brand was born. She wanted to create more exciting flavours, with no nasties involved.

Camilla was then chosen to go on the BBC One show, The Apprentice and took her brand to Lord Sugar. She made it all the way to the final and, at just 22, she was the youngest finalist in Apprentice history.

The show finished and Camilla was ever more determined to make her brand a success so she released her first flavour, Salted Honeycomb Hazelnut, and then she went on to release Strawberry Cheesecake Cashew.

M+LKPLUS Chocolate Orange Oat flavoured oat milk

‘‘At M+LKPLUS we are always one step ahead of the game and with oat milk seeing a huge surge in popularity this year, we wanted to create the first flavoured oat milk available in a ‘grab and go’ format. Furthermore, the new flavour tastes the most similar to cows’ milk, with a thick and creamy texture to feel indulgent but still with great health credentials.

Camilla was due to launch her new oat drink in WHSmith, but due to Covid-19 and store closures, she wasn’t able to do so. She decided to go ahead with the launch regardless, which has been a success, and she now only has a limited number of Chocolate Orange Oat left!

She has been featured in The Sun, The Grocer, Plant Based News, Lancashire Telegraph and, with over 40k followers on Instagram, she continues to spread the word through her platform, as well as showcasing her fitness journey and her other business ventures.

The new ‘grab and go’ Chocolate Orange Oat cartons are sold in packs of 4 on the M+LKPLUS’ online shop and will also be available on Amazon.
