Hunter & Gather has just entered the Ketchup market with an innovative unsweetened organic tomato sauce range, which is launching in Booths, Amazon, CLF wholesale and The Health Store Wholesale, with more to follow.
With an already significant presence in ‘Optimal Health,’ clean-deck condiments, Hunter & Gather are now offering 3 new keto ketchup options:
- Unsweetened Classic Tomato,
- Unsweetened Barbecue,
- And unsweetened Spicy Chipotle.
Not only are the tomatoes all organic, but the new sauces come without added sugars, dates, fruits or sweeteners for sweetening.
Gather & Hunter managed this innovation by using a carefully crafted blend of spices and vinegars to create a tangy trilogy of sauces that are thick and tasty, yet have 79% less sugars than the leading player. It is now the first truly ketogenic ketchup, with 1g of carbs per serve and 79% less total sugar than the mainstream ketchup.
Co-founder Amy Moring considered Gather & Hunter had a bigger role to play ‘as the leading provider of best-in-class condiments,’ and responded to a growing demand for a genuine low total sugar tomato sauce without sweeteners.
Whilst others tomato sauce suppliers might claim that ‘no added sugar’ tomato sauces already exist, a closer inspection of their back-of-pack ingredient decks show an alarming natural sugar presence (around 16.5g of sugar per 100g Vs our 6.6g) from added syrups, sugary fruits or a host of sweeteners that coat the palate.
“We wanted to provide true innovation whilst also tasting delicious – like we did with our avocado mayonnaise range for the wider condiments category,” says Amy.
Each glass bottle of their brand new range is £3.59 (250g glass bottle), and you can find out more about that here.
