Luxury Jamaican Food Brand, Marshall And Brown Wins Great Taste Award

Founded in 2018, by Dr Carlton Brown, Marshall And Brown strives to bring an authentic, luxury Jamaican food experience to their customers.

Jamaican food has a rich and diverse heritage, using a wide variety of flavours and spices to create powerful meals that go beyond the jerked meat stereotype, often associated with Jamaican food, though – that is a very traditional Jamaican cooking technique.

Dr Brown created Marshall And Brown after a trip to Jamaica, in 2016. He decided that he wanted to pay homage to his mother and mother-in-law, who are both passionate cooks. Food was the obvious choice so he set out to bring an authentic Jamaican experience to the UK.

Aimed at the luxury market, Marshall And Brown aim for the highest quality in all of their products.

Their products retain the authentic taste of Jamaica, from their range of Jerk House sauces and seasonings to their Mama Brown’s Rum Cake. Their products don’t just stop at food, but include drinks, too, including Jamaican coffee and tea.

The Jerk House sauce collection is designed to cater for a wide range of palates, including the vegan and vegetarian market, by brining the taste of Jamaica to vegetable dishes too. The Vegan Kind stocks all of their sauces.

Marshall And Brown have recently won a one-star Great Taste Award for their Jerk House Caribbean Hot Mustard. With one of the judges saying “this sauce has a gentle and mellow Caribbean nature with an appropriate warmth to round it off.”
