Champions Cider Enters Alcohol-Free Market: Launches In Tesco

Champions Cider, a new alcohol free healthy beverage, will soon be available for purchase at Tesco.

Champions Cider, a new alcohol free healthy beverage, will soon be available for purchase at Tesco.

With only 50 calories a bottle, Champions’ cider is vegan friendly, and is loaded with natural fruit and flavours. The whole range features no added sugar, preservatives or nasties.

Unlike other zero alcohol ciders on the market – which are crammed with up to 50g of sugar, Champions – features no added sugar, and has only 11.2g of naturally occurring sugar.

Their range comes in three flavours:

  • Strawberry & Rhubarb: For those who love a refreshingly sweet cider on a hot summer day. Despite the forever-changing weather in the UK, Champions Strawberry & Rhubarb can be enjoyed year-round.
  • Raspberry Flavour: For those who want a great tasting and energising cider with a healthy hit of Vitamin C. Keeping immune systems in shape after just one bottle.
  • Kiwi & Lime: For those who want to relax after a long day and find a calm peace of mind before getting in forty winks.

Champions Cider was created by a group of former International rugby players – brothers Charlie and James Simpson-Daniel, who put their heads together after becoming tired of the lack of nutritional, alcohol-free alternatives currently available. They also got Mike Tindall, a former World Cup winner, involved in the process.

Co-founder Charlie proudly commented:

“As a cider drinker myself, it was important to me that Champions Cider, despite being created without the high calorific content and sugar found in regular cider offerings, didn’t compromise on taste. We believe we have achieved and we are thrilled to have won a national listing with Tescos for our Champions Cider Strawberry & Rhubarb. Our two further flavours, Vitamin Cider (Raspberry) and Kiwi & Lime will be launching in November through our website with further listings to be confirmed soon.”
