Garden Sheds Brand, ‘Power Sheds’ Wins ‘Best New Business’ Award

Bradford-based garden shed manufacturer, Power Sheds, has been announced as a winner of the ‘Best New Business’ award, at the prestigious 2020 Lloyds Bank National Business Awards.

The company has also won an eBay Award For Innovation and a Great British Entrepreneur Award. Power Sheds, which is situation on the Euroway Trading Estate, launched in 2019, thanks to Jack Sutcliffe and Simon Hobson.

Company CEO, Jack, proudly said: ‘We are enormously proud to have won a Lloyds Bank National Business Awards – this award represents the culmination of our hard work and dedication over the last 12 months.’

The Lloyds Bank Award judges mentioned that Power Shed ‘has a good, innovative product and is tapping into a lucrative market – a clear winner.’

Power Sheds manufactures garden sheds, potting sheds and bike sheds, and prides itself on being the only UK-based wooden shed company that can deliver the full range of garden sheds anywhere in Europe.

Their sheds are made from a high grade of timber, which is sustainable and responsibly sourced, and the quality is higher to competitors, and can be delivered quicker than anyone else.

Power Sheds are manufactured as a modularised product, which is then delivered to the customer to build. The modular units allow for a very simple installation process which is easy to understand, resilient, and cost-competitive for the quality they get.

The business provides 400 products in total, but there are 1000’s more when you consider the various variations and configurations. Being modular, all of this is possible from just 55 components, making their manufacturing process incredibly scalable, a very unique in the world of sheds.

Previously, Simon had worked in the shed industry for 28 years starting as an installer, and eventually becoming responsible for all operations and 90 members of staff, whilst Jack was responsible for all non-production activities.

With all their accumulated experiences, they left the company they worked at, and decided to start their own one.
