AKIN is a premium and ethical men’s underwear subscription service developed by out-of-work DJ Simon, and was started with the goal in mind of fighting off remaining men’s tatty underwear.
AKIN is the brainchild of an out-of-work DJ during lockdown, stuck inside with nothing on his hands, but time and a drawer full of tired, tatty old boxers.
After spending the last 8 months scouring the web for the best designers, materials and manufacturers, Simon Bays has now launched AKIN on Kickstarter – and has already raised over £3,000.
AKIN’s boxer briefs are manufactured using the finest Aegean organic cotton, and are delivered through your letterbox in a different colour each month, and they come in three colours: Black, Navy, and Tash.
Designed in London, ethically and sustainably produced in Turkey, and committed to reforestation, AKIN will also be planting a tree for every single pair sold.
As part of their commitment to the environment, AKIN has partnered up with Eden Reforestation Projects to plant a tree for every pair sold. So you can wear beautifully designed underwear and help combat climate change at the same time.
Speaking about his new venture, founder Simon commented: ‘With fresh, organic and ethical boxer briefs delivered to you in a different colour each month, you’ll never have to think about buying new underwear again.’
Hitting their £22,230 Kickstarter funding goal by Thursday 17th December will enable AKIN to enter full production and make tired, tatty boxers a thing of the past.
