Made For Drink Launches Plastic Free Snack Pouches

Made For Drink, who not so long ago – introduced their new range of superior meat-based snacks to pair with your favourite alcoholic drinks, now aims to help the environment.

Following a successful trial of their planet-friendly (plastic-free/home compostable) pouches over the Autumn, Made for Drink has taken the decision that as from the 21st January onwards, they’ll be rolling out their new bespoke flow-wrap pouches into Waitrose, Sainsburys, Ocado, Fortnum & Mason, and the wider independent retail sector), moving from standard crisp packets to a more eco friendly wrapping alternative.

Their snappy new identity will combine a stunning kraft paper black livery, with an extra 30% of free product at no extra cost for both the trade and consumers.

According to Made for Drink founder, Dan Featherstone, ‘We’ve had an exceptional year in retail, highlighted by our inclusion in a recent Nielsen In-Focus report profiling Made For Drink as the fastest growing Meat Snacks Brand in retail and the 6th biggest contributor to category growth.’

He added: ‘All well and good but we know we can do more, provide greater value, consolidate and improve our premium cues on shelf and lead the category on crucial matters such as the removal of plastic from  packaging and championing a ‘CO2 neutral’ future.  January 2021 will see the launch our new retail focused pack that delivers against all of these primary objectives. It feels like a sea change moment during an exciting period of growth for Made For Drink.’

Despite the seismic impact of COVID and the lockdown, Made for Drink’s on-trade heartland, Berkshire’s fine snacking aficionados have continued to prosper throughout the off-trade sector, tapping into the growing enthusiasm for high quality, protein-rich, savoury meat-themed snacks.
