Last week (on the 15th April, 2021), Emma Thornton pitched her brand, TRUE Skincare on BBC’s Dragons’ Den, and she was thrilled to receive investment offers from four of the five Dragons (Deborah Meaden, Peter Jones, Tej Lalvani and Sara Davies).

On commenting on her Den experience, Emma Thornton, the Founder and sole employee of the brand, said: “Although I was incredibly nervous to begin with, I really loved the whole experience. It was so wonderful to see how all of the Dragons really took the time to listen and understand the brand and the vision.”

TRUE Skincare makes high-quality, natural and certified organic skincare products, with luxurious formulas, honest messaging, and stylish design, – which has been priced competitively to make feel-good products as accessible and inclusive as possible.

Their innovative, waterless production system means that the range cares for your skin with concentrated formulas and natural COSMOS-approved preservatives, whilst still conserving the planet’s natural resources.

TRUE Skincare products are manufactured on the British coast, and are produced with oil-based, dry formulations and break-through technology, – which minimises water wastage, and the need for artificial preservatives.

Some of their products include:

  • The ‘Radiance Renewal 10% Stabilised Vitamin C Serum,’
  • The ‘Hydrating Blossom & Pine Toner,’
  • The ‘Certified Organic Rejuvenating Cacay & Frankincense Facial Oil,’
  • The ‘Certified Organic Gentle Superfood Exfoliator,’
  • And more.

Prior to launching the TRUE brand, Emma worked behind-the-scenes at some of beauty’s most exclusive premium brands, – which led her to wonder just how possible it would be for a skincare range to be effective and affordable, without compromising aesthetics and integrity, and her answer, TRUE Skincare, – was born.

Since launching the brand in 2018, TRUE Skincare has sold the equivalent of 3 products every hour, and in March, the brand celebrated its’ 3rd birthday, and is now proudly stocked with 6 leading UK retailers: Ocado, Holland & Barrett,  Look Fantastic, Feel Unique, Boots and Birchbox, with more to follow in the second half of 2021.

Emma Thornton (who has recently been named as number 8 in the ‘30 under 30 of who’s who in Natural Beauty,’ and TRUE, – has won 15 awards to date, including: “Best Value Skincare Brand in 2020.”
