Brand new to the hairdressing scene is Hairslydz, who have reinvented traditional hair accessories for professionals, through quality, – yet affordable products.
Their products include barrettes, crunchies, clips, headbands, and more. Their colours range from black and gold to pinks and bright neon’s, and their slides, clips and barrettes are perfectly designed to stay put in your hair, and NOT slip out (available in a choice of seven colours and in 3 different types: slim and sleek, classic snap clip, and the classic barrette).
Founded in December 2020 by hairstylist Andy Smith, Hairslydz has already secured some excellent features and partnerships, including a double page spread in the hair trade magazine, Creative Head, a featuring of their scrunchies in the German issue of Vogue magazine, and they’re currently in talks with Indola Professional on a Global distribution collaboration.
The inspiration and passion for Hairslydz comes from Andy’s vast experience in the hairstyling industry (20 years). Andy is renowned for his editorial fashion looks and creativity, which has taken him around the world to runway shows, to shoots for magazines such as Vogue, to international movie sets, and to advertising campaigns.
Andy was tired of constantly searching the internet for cool, on-trend, well-made hair accessories that worked for his clients. He was looking for products that deliver not only in looks, but in functionality and in longevity too: NOT grips that fail, or slides that don’t sit flush to the head and slip down, or scrunchies that are too small to hold a pony.
Recognising this sizeable gap in the market, Andy spent time researching, creating, redesigning and perfecting his own diverse range of quality, reinvented hair accessories, Hairslydz: a brand created by hairdressers for hairdressers.
Andy said: “It feels amazing to finally be able to provide hairdressers with an accessory range that they can actually trust. We spent 18 months redesigning and perfecting Hairslydz to ensure that they were of the best quality, yet affordable and able to be worn by everyone, no matter what their hair type. The range includes endless options, and is also versatile so it can be functional, fashionable or worn however you wish.”
