SNACKZILLA (Baked Oat Cookies 4 Kids) Launches Into Sainsbury’s

SNACKZILLA is a new soft-baked oat-cookie brand made especially for kids. Last month, they launched in selected Sainsbury’s stores in the UK via their trial bay.

The BRAND NEW Sainsbury’s launch sees two delicious new flavours arrive into the retailer: Chocolate and Golden Syrup.

Marieke Syed (SNACKZILLA’s Founder) created the brand out of her own frustration at not being able to find healthier snacks for her older children that were filling, lunchbox ready, and packed with better nutrition. Their overarching brand mission is to support kids to live healthier lives (without compromising on taste or fun).

SNACKZILLA’s cookies are HFSS compliant. They contain 50% less sugar than the average sweet biscuit, are 99 calories per cookie, are high in fibre, vegan, AND they’re free from any artificial colours, flavours or preservatives. They’re made in a family-run bakery in Yorkshire.

SNACKZILLA is proud to partner with Sainsbury’s to make their cookies available to families nationwide, and to support their wider mission of helping to reduce childhood obesity.

Marieke Syed, the Founder of SNACKZILLA, said: “We’re delighted that Sainsbury’s have committed to make it easier and more accessible for customers to make food choices that are good for them and their families, and we are thrilled that they have chosen SNACKZILLA to champion this.”

SNACKZILLA also supports the Change4Life campaign, and their cookies carry the Good Choice Badge, supporting parents to choose healthier, lower sugar snack swaps. The brand is also collaborating with Give.Help.Share, exclusively for the Sainsburys trial: for every carton sold, SNACKZILLA will donate a cookie to the charity for their healthy food workshops they run in schools.

Founded by primary school teachers Amanda and Jacqueline, Give.Help.Share aims to GIVE children nutritious food, to HELP feed families, and to SHARE food knowledge for a healthier future, providing food parcels to those in need, whilst educating families on healthier food choices.

The SNACKZILLA donations will support the Give.Help.Share school workshops that focus on healthy snack swaps. These workshops aims to provide children with the opportunity to learn about food, its provenance, diet and health, – together with budgeting skills in order to empower them to develop healthy eating habits, and to make informed choices.
