The business was Founded by two twin brothers, Shane Carnell-Xu and Jake Xu, who were born in Beijing, but grew up in the UK in their teens, before settling in Bath. With over a decade of marketing experience within global beauty and cosmetics brands, the brothers (who use cosmetics products themselves) struggled for years to find the perfect products that were best suited for their needs.
So after extensive research, they set out to create their own range of vegan, cruelty-free cosmetic products, – designed specifically for men’s skin type and concerns.

“We know that men don’t want skincare and make up that takes forever to use, or that comes with a huge learning curve. We developed these products to make having well cared-for skin easy, without compromising efficacy. We launched officially in 2019 into Harvey Nichols, and now, we’re stocked in Superdrug in the UK, as well as exporting to China, South Africa and Germany,” added the duo.
The brand has also signed a deal with Zalando to launch into 10 more European countries very soon. Their best-seller, the BB Tinted Moisturiser, sells once every 6 minutes across the globe. They were also included by GQ magazine as one of the “best moisturisers for men,” shortly after launch.
