Sian Marie Loungewear Has Launched Into George at ASDA

Sian Marie (which was launched by Sian Gabbidon (Lord Sugar’s business partner, and the winner of Season 14 of The Apprentice) has launched into George at ASDA.

The new launch is a “revamped” version of last year’s super-popular autumn-winter loungewear and outerwear collection. The new collection is now available in ASDA stores across the country, as well as online, and on the Sian Marie website. It features some of Sian Marie’s key pieces, as well as some new styles and colourways.

The collection consists of t-shirts, long sleeves, hoodies, bodysuits, fleeces, and joggers, and it’s already a hit amongst celebrities and influencers, including Molly-Mae Hague, Maura Higgins, Jordan Lipscombe, and more. Made with premium fabrics at an affordable price, Sian Marie’s pieces are warm, cosy, layered, thick, and they’re designed to last.

“I know I’m biased because it’s my brand, but our products are super-premium quality. They’ll last the test of time,” said Sian.

Sian Marie is a label that’s driven by quality craftsmanship and figure-flattering-fits. The brand celebrate(s) the female form at its most powerful, with each collection blending on-trend prints with premium fabrics, custom trims, and simple, yet innovative graphics.

Founded by Leeds-born Sian Gabbidon (the daughter of a hardworking nurse named Amanda, and a factory worker, named Steven), Sian began her journey from very humble beginnings.

Her childhood was spent growing up in council estates, where her mum and dad dedicated their time to providing a better life for their only child. Because of this, Sian spent a lot of time with her grandparents, and it was here that her creative flare started to grow. She would spend time with her nanna, – drawing, painting, learning how to knit/sew, and much more.

After getting her first sewing machine at the very young age of just 16, Sian’s passion quickly grew, and she went on to study Fashion Design with Marketing and Production at Huddersfield University. After being told by a tutor that she ‘must be in London to succeed in fashion,’ Sian decided to challenge this and prove them wrong, which she has since gone on to do.

Sian went on to receive a first class honours degree, and her early, post-Uni career started out in marketing. It was around this time that she started to work in ASDA’s head office. Sian also set up an Instagram page to showcase some of her fashion designs on the side – which were mainly focused on swimwear, as she felt that this area completely lacked in the market, with repetitive styles and basic shapes.

Sian’s designs were an overnight hit, and she began to receive messages from stylists, boutiques and influencers asking for her products, as they loved her designs. This then led her to design an array of bikinis in 2016 for the TV star, Kate Wright. Kate went on to wear those designs on a holiday in Dubai, which received a huge amount of press at the time.

Through learning, Sian taught herself the fundamentals of setting up a business to keep her costs low, such as how to build a website, how to effectively use social media, and how to market to grow her brand organically. In 2017, her label, Sian Marie was finally born – which focussed on making women feel amazing, by allowing them to make their outfits ‘their own’ through reversible, multiway styles.

Initially Founded in 2016 as a swimwear and fashion brand, the label has since pivoted, and they’ve gone on to expand their product range and offering, which now includes coats and jackets, sweatshirts and hoodies, tracksuits, dresses, tops, and bottoms.

Sian also became a huge success story after winning Season 14 of BBC’s The Apprentice in 2018, with Lord Sugar injecting £250K into the business. Her brand was quickly picked up by ASOS shortly after the show.
