Pura Cosmetics was Founded by Rose, after she identified a gap in the market for affordable, fun, crowd-pleasing lip-care products that are sustainably packaged, cruelty-free, and vegan-friendly.

The young, Yorkshire-based entrepreneur started Pura Cosmetics when she was just 15-years old, after being constantly disappointed by the absence of affordable ethical beauty products. “I wanted to make a vegan and sustainably-packaged product line that teenagers like myself could afford,” explained Rose.

“I was a 15-year-old secondary school student when I started up Pura Cosmetics. My inspiration came from the lack of sustainable, effective beauty products in the market that were in my price range as a young teenager. The majority of eco-friendly options that matched my values came with a steep, premium price tag that my pocket money simply couldn’t cover,” said Rose.

Pura Cosmetics is now stocked by some of the largest eco-friendly product and gifting online retailers in the UK, and is also one of Amazon’s best-selling lip scrubs. The accomplished entrepreneur has won many awards, including winning the F Factor in 2019 (the UK’s premier start-up competition), – with funding from the Co-Founder of Lastminute.com, Brent Hoberman.
