Dr.PAWPAW Has Donated £56K To The Teenage Cancer Trust.

On World Cancer Day, Dr.PAWPAW donated £56K to the Teenage Cancer Trust. “We’ve been wanting to work with the Teenage Cancer Trust for some time,” said Johnny.
Dr.PAWPAW launched their FIRST EVER collaborative product in November 2020 (the Dr.PAWPAW X Teenage Cancer Trust Shimmer Balm, where 15p from each sale goes to the charity).
The teenage Cancer Trust is dedicated to helping the complex and unique needs of teenagers and young adults with cancer. The charity provides the best possible place for young people, physically, mentally and emotionally, throughout their cancer treatment and beyond.
Four moving stories from young people helped by the Teenage Cancer Trust feature on the back of the Dr.PAWPAW X Teenage Cancer Trust Shimmer Balm packaging, highlighting the amazing support of the charity’s nurses, youth support teams, and special hospital wards that help to ensure that no young person EVER experiences cancer alone.
In February 2022, these stories will be replaced with four new stories from young people helped by the charity, providing a unique platform for these inspiring journeys to be shared around the world.
“We’ve been wanting to work with the Teenage Cancer Trust for quite some time, and we admire the work they do for young people with cancer, who deserve to enjoy life in spite of their illness. We are proud to be supporting an organisation that strives to deliver to our younger generation in this way. The partnership has been amazing for all involved since the very beginning,” said Dr.PAWPAW’s Co-founder, Johnny Paterson.
“We’ve always wanted to do a collaboration product, and when we embarked on our partnership with the Teenage Cancer Trust, it was the perfect fit. We use our packaging to showcase the amazing stories from young people that have been helped by the Teenage Cancer Trust,” said Pauline Paterson, Dr.PAWPAW’s other Co-founder.
In response to Dr.PAWPAW’s generous donation, Stefanie Allen, the Partnership Manager at the Teenage Cancer Trust said: “a massive thank you to DR. PAWPAW for the incredible amount they’ve raised since joining us as a charity partner last year. They’ve been fantastic, supporting Teenage Cancer Trust in so many ways, from the sale of products, to raising sponsorship, to supporting various internal projects, to supporting young people with cancer.”
Alongside the monetary donation, Johnny also supported the partnership by running the Virgin Money London Marathon In October 2021, raising £6,103.31 for the amazing work that the Teenage Cancer Trust does.
Since the partnership began, Dr.PAWPAW has been awarded in the Teenage Cancer Trust Partnership Awards, Altogether Unstoppable, twice: in 2020, they were awarded in the ‘Hot off the Mark’ category, and in 2021, they were awarded in the ‘Cause Related Marketing’ category.
