Deborah Meaden And Peter Jones Have Invested In March Muses.

Following an appearance on BBC Dragons’ Den, Deborah Meaden and Peter Jones have invested in March Muses, the luxury gift brand that represents people of colour.

March Muses are best-known for their popular Christmas collection that features Black angels and Black Santas.

Two mothers named Mothers Natalie Duvall and Alison Burton launched March Muses in October 2019, because they struggled to find gifts that resembled their children.

And now, thanks to Deborah and Peter’s investment, March Muses are on track to launch a new range of inclusive gifts for Father’s Day, Mother’s Day, weddings, Christenings, and birthdays, too.

As parents, we’re raising the next generation of change-makers. Let’s make them anti-racist global citizens. Shops need to not only represent Britain today, but also, they need to be authentic, rather than performative in their approach to diversity,” said the two Founders.

This can be achieved by using Black creators like us, who make Black products. We are thankful that Peter and Deborah see our vision, and are willing to invest in a company that champions diversity and inclusion. We can’t wait to tap into their vast expertise,” added Natalie and Alison.

“Natalie and Alison blew us away with their business acumen in the den. They had identified a gaping hole in the market, with a clear consumer demand for their offering,” said Peter Jones.

“The Black Lives Matter movement really did highlight the importance of representation, particularly with children. Dolls and action figures, decorations, cards and wrapping paper should be available in a variety of hues, and be diverse. I truly admire Natalie and Alison for the important work they are doing, and I look forward to helping them to take March Muses to the next level,” concluded Deborah Meaden.
