“There’s nothing fast about Reflo…” said Rory MacFadyen.

The idea behind Reflo has evolved from ‘sportswear made from recycled waste,’ to a mission of creating the most sustainable sportswear brand on the planet.

Launched in 2021, the Reflo collection includes 57 pieces for leisure and golf. Each piece is designed for multiple uses: for work, for rest, and for play.

The range is future-proofed with designs that’ll stay relevant for years to come, with in-built durability. The apparel has been made from advanced technical fabrics that have been woven from recycled waste, and the fabrics have been created to adhere to multiple sustainability certifications, including the Global Recycled Standard, Bluesign, Oeko-Tex 100, and U Trust. NOTE: Reflo aims to recycle five million plastic bottles by 2026.

Reflo’s Founder Rory MacFadyen used worked in sports marketing, events, and partnerships. It was during this time that he witnessed first-hand, the huge amount of waste that occurs in the apparel industry.

He suddenly realised that there was an opportunity to combine two of his passions: sports and sustainability. During a chance conversation with a friend who is also driven by sustainability, he was introduced to a process that can turn plastic waste into high performance fabrics, and so… Reflo was born.

“Reflo was founded to provide truly sustainable options, and to disrupt an industry that is full of brands “greenwashing” about sustainability. Having a small percentage of your product range made using tiny amounts of recycled fabrics doesn’t make you a sustainable brand. Every aspect of our business strives to make a positive imprint with concrete action. We do less, but we do it better,” said Roy.

We won’t release new lines every week. We won’t produce endless samples. There’s nothing fast about our fashion. Everything in our collection is precisely designed, rigorously tested, and crafted to stand the test of time. We created Reflo to help people to look good, feel good, and do good,” added Roy.

Since creation, Reflo has already signed partnerships with several world-class sporting events and teams, which will be announced over the coming months, the first being The Trust Golf Women’s Scottish Open.

Many athletes proudly compete under Reflo’s logo, such as the Olympic gold medalist Matt Richards, and the World Champion England and Surrey cricketer, Liam Plunkett.
