Def Leppard’s Rick Savage Launches: ‘Overnight Angels Crew.’

Def Leppard’s bassist Rick Savage launches Overnight Angels Crew (OAC) – a luxury fashion label that’s influenced by the rock soul intensity of the 80s and 90s.

The label is curated closely with Nick Holland (the designer of Liam Gallagher’s label, Pretty Green).

Founded and launched in 2022, Overnight Angels Crew (OAC) has already established itself as a brand that is well-know for its elite quality, and its nostalgic authenticity.

Characterised by powerful visuals and a strong graphic identity, women and men can find their fix of transcendent design, influenced by the rock soul intensity of the 80s and 90s, with bold illustrations – on a diverse product range. OAC is devoted to delivering attention to quality in every piece, using ONLY the very best sourced materials.

As a brand, the OAC is continously evolving – acquiring inspiration from notable influences and figures, such as Snoop Dogg (the brand launched an exclusive “Skull Funk” graphic tee as a nod to the iconic rapper).

Recently, Rick showcased a crystal encrusted guitar strap during an episode of Jimmy Kimmel Live, as well as some other items he has worn (that are available to purchase exclusively from the OAC x Special Projects line).

And in case you’re wondering where the brand name came from, it was inspired by Ian Hunter’s title track on his 1977 album, ‘Overnight Angels.’ It was during this Summer of 1977 that Rick arrived at a crossroads in his life: it’s the year that Def Leppard was formed – a notable and poignant time in his life.

“Fashion is something that is really important to me. It’s been a huge part of my life. From the 80s rock ‘n’ roll stage outfits, to my favourite wardrobe staples,” said Rick.

This is something I can see has been passed down to my son, Scott. Seeing as we had some time on our hands during the pandemic, we came up with the idea to unite our passions, and thus Overnight Angels Crew was born. I believe that we’ve created something really special here: a high-end brand, with a rock and roll edge,” concluded the iconic bass player.
