Hill Hassall Botanics Launches A New Drink, ‘The Refresher.’
Hill Hassall Botanics launches ‘The Refresher,’ a well-balanced elixir of fresh-pressed cucumber juices – infused with garden mint and British-grown Eucalyptus.
For thousands of years, the healing powers of the Eucalyptus have been harnessed by Australia’s most indigenous people. The plant was used to cleanse the body, and lift the spirit.
Modern science now recognizes this active organic compound as the Eucalyptol – the 1,8-cineole (which is well-known for its anti-oxidant/anti-inflammatory properties).
“From harvesting Eucalyptus globulus leaves in our purpose-grown grove, to hand-pressing mountains of cucumbers, we have endeavored to achieve the best taste possible – in a can,” said Hill Hassall Botanics’ Founder, John Curtis.
Hill Hassall Botanics is based on the Isle of Wight, at Ventnor Botanic Gardens, which is home to many exotic plants that grow naturally there – due to its unique micro-climate.
John rescued the garden ten years ago, as it was costing his local council 100’s of thousands of pounds to run each year, and they couldn’t afford to keep doing it.
Since taking it over, the American businessman has used the garden’s wonders – to create a wide range of exciting products. The newly-launched ‘Refresher’ drink is one of them.
