Jenna McCorkell From Chique Sport (As Seen On Dragons’ Den).

Jenna McCorkell (the former figure skater from Northern Ireland) appeared on BBC Dragons’ Den – to raise investment for her sports clothing brand, Chique Sport.

Jenna is an 11-time British national champion.

  • She’s won 7 senior international medals (including gold at the Ondrej Nepela Memorial and Ice Challenge),
  • She placed as high as 8th at the European Championships, and 14th at the World Championships, and:
  • She competed at 2 Winter Olympics.

Although Coleraine-based Jenna left the Den without an investment, she still walked away with feedback, encouragement, and endorsement from the Dragons, as well as invaluable recognition of her business (and her success to date).

“Taking part in Dragons’ Den has been hugely rewarding. My core goal on entering the Den was to build brand awareness of Chique Sport, with a new, more diverse audience base – beyond the world of ice sports,” said Jenna.

“Whilst it was nerve-wracking to pitch to the Dragons, their wider feedback, their encouragement, and their endorsement was incredible. It has reinforced my confidence that I’m making the right strategic decisions to grow my business – and it has absolutely inspired me to keep doing what I am doing,” said Jenna.

Jenna established her brand in 2017, after she identified a gap in the market for high quality sportswear that is stylish and durable – that meets the specific demands of competitive figure skaters.

Chique Sport has quickly become the leading sportswear brand that’s worn by elite figure skaters across the globe, including several national competitive teams across Europe.

After receiving early set up and marketing support from Invest Northern Ireland, now, Jenna operates Chique Sport’s global distribution hub from her Northern Ireland base in Coleraine. Chique Sport exports to more than 60 countries globally, and boasts more than 40,000 products sold to date.
