Shipping Policy

Shakti.ism’s products are shipped all over the world and we are grateful to our wonderful customers around the globe and their commitment to women’s empowerment in India (and beyond).

Royal Mail is our preferred method of shipment, as this is the most cost-effective and reliable option for our customers. Shipping costs are calculated based on product weight and your geolocation (determined by the shipping address entered at the time of checkout). Orders are normally shipped the next day, and we aim to get all items shipped out within 48 hours.

We cannot deliver to BFPO addresses or PO boxes.

During periods of poor weather, industrial action or exceptional demand the stated dispatch and delivery timescales may not apply. We will do everything we can to get your parcel to you as soon as possible, but we are unable to offer refunds for delays.

It is the buyer’s responsibility to provide a complete and accurate delivery address. Please check it carefully as address labels are printed automatically as soon as your order is placed. We do not accept responsibility for any items lost or undelivered due to an incorrect or incomplete address being provided.

VAT/taxes, Import and/or Customs fees may be levied and they are the responsibility of the customer to research and pay. Shaktiism CIC is responsible for delays due to customs.

Packaging

Each order is wrapped and packed personally and then sent in eco-friendly reusable biodegradable mailers to reduce our plastic use and promote sustainability.

Order fulfilment

Our orders are shipped out from Shaktiism HQ or from our friends at Mailout, a brilliant social enterprise that provides training and employment for people with autism and/or learning disabilities. Mailout offers mailing and fulfilment services, and they are based in London.

Mailout aims to pack and ship your order within 2 working days. Please note their distribution centre is closed at the weekends and bank holidays so orders placed on a Saturday or Sunday will be sent out as quickly as possible after the weekend or bank holiday.

All Shakti.ism products are carefully curated and we do our best to accurately represent them on our website and online shop. We think you’ll love your one-of-a-kind products just as much as we do, but of course if there are any issues please get in touch.

If for any reason you have changed your mind about your purchase, we can offer a refund on any item that is returned to us unused and in the same condition and packaging that you received it, along with proof of purchase. Please contact us through the Gramersi messaging system.

Our returns policy lasts 14 days from the date of purchase. If more than 14 days have passed since your purchase, unfortunately we cannot offer you a refund or exchange. Returns are not possible on sale items or gift cards or vouchers.

As a small, nonprofit social enterprise, returns and refunds can be administratively demanding and time-consuming for us. We work hard to provide accurate pictures and information so any details you can provide about the reason for your return will help us to improve our service and quality of product in the future.

Please note that you will be responsible for paying for your own shipping costs for returning your item. Shipping costs are non-refundable. If your initial order included free shipping, your refund (subject to approval) will be issued minus the cost for sending the initial shipment. We recommend you return products by tracked mail or courier as we cannot be responsible for missing parcels.

For lost or damaged items, please contact us through the Gramersi messaging system. For damaged, items, we will require photographs within 10 days of receipt for any refund claims.

Refunds (if applicable) Once your return is received and inspected, we will send you an email to notify you that we have received your returned item and that we will issue a refund. The credit will automatically be applied to your credit card or original method of payment. Please note that the cost of shipping will be deducted from the purchase prices if a refund is issued (if free shipping was obtained, the cost of shipping the order will be deducted from any refund issued)

Exchanges (if applicable) We only replace items if they are defective or damaged. If you need to exchange it for the same item, send us an email and we will send you the relevant details.
