Bridal Dress Brand, Sabina Motasem Offers Virtual Dressing And Home Trials

Finding a wedding dress has become a lot harder during the pandemic, and so Bridal brand – Sabina Motasem has adapted to showcase its beautiful bridal collections in an innovative new way.

Brides-to-be can now have a virtual appointment and home-trial with Motasem. The brand has three bridal collections to choose from:

The Couture Collection: wedding dresses made from silk, costing between £1950 – £4500,
The Green Collection: a ready-to-wear range of 100% sustainable and luxe dresses, costing between £975 – £1400, and:
Sample Sales: a selection of samples looking for beautiful homes, costing between £400 – £750.

All of Motasem’s dresses are made in London, are sustainable and vegan fabric certified by GRS (Global Recycle Standard) and the European Vegetarian Union.

Motasem was founded by Sabina Motasem in 2007. Sabina is a talented designer, who initially designed a wedding dress as a special gift, after a friend couldn’t find a simple, elegant, non-frou frou dress.

It quickly turned into a range of highly sought-after dresses, and since the brand has been featured in Elle, Vogue and has won numerous awards including ‘Highly Commended Award’ at the 2016 Wedding Industry Awards and most recently the ‘Sublime Magazine Good Brand Award’ in recognition for advancing social and environmental sustainability.

In March, Sabina pivoted her business to help the NHS with just under 1400 scrubs and 2000 masks, which brought the whole pandemic into full focus, adapting her business to a virtual service.

‘We are a small fashion business, but have listened to customers on what they need right now’, assures Sabina.

She adds: ‘We have changed how we engage with customers and have embraced the virtual experience. We closed our retail shop in Islington in March to become a more virtual company, and our customers now have an exclusive 1-2-1 video appt, followed by a home trial where dresses can be tried on at home.’

New brides can rest assured that the delivery is still ensured by Sabina herself.
