Award Winning Inclusive British Tights Brand ‘Snag Tights’ Triples Distribution Capacity
Snag Tights, a size-inclusive retailer of colourful tights, has tripled its’ distribution capacity with a new site in The Netherlands.
Fast-growing Scottish retailer, Snag Tights, have tripled their global distribution capacity with the launch of a new fulfilment centre in Venlo, the Netherlands.
The award-winning size-inclusive retailer, who achieved 3733% growth in their first three years of trade and are projected to turnover £24 million this year, have expanded their distribution facilities to meet growing international demand.
The move will also ensure that they are able to continue to serve customers globally post-Brexit, with the brand already fulfilling more than 500,000 orders from 50 regions outside the UK each year.
Located in the Limburg region, the new 20,000 square foot premises in Venlo, in The Netherlands, is double the size of the hosiery brand’s existing headquarters in Livingston, Scotland, and it opened on 1st of December.
The new premises were secured with the support of the Netherlands Foreign Investment Agency (NFIA), in association with the regional development company of the Province of Limburg, (LIOF).
Jeroen Nijland, Commissioner of the NFIA , welcomed Snag Tights to the Netherlands: ‘I am delighted that Snag Tights has chosen to set up its operations in the Netherlands and house its fulfilment facility here. In these challenging economic times, specifically in light of Brexit, our country offers the certainty and stability on the European Market that is needed for international operating businesses.’
Despite the pandemic, the NFIA were able to arrange a COVID-secure fact-finding trip for Snag Tights spanning Limburg, Brabant and East Netherlands.
Excited by the growth of her business, Brie Read CEO and Founder of Snag commented:

A psychologist by training, founder Brie moved into marketing early in her career and became Head of Marketing for online course provider ICS by the age of 26.
She led Diet Chef, one of Scotland’s fastest growing start-ups, to a successful sale to private investors in 2015, and since leaving Diet Chef Brie has founded a number of digital economy start-ups, with Snag being her first direct-to-consumer e-commerce brand in 2017, which was inspired by Brie’s own daily struggles to find tights that really fit.
Her size inclusive brand range from sizes 4 – 36, and come in a variety of height, waist and body shapes.
