Pink Marmalade Gin Is On The Hunt For Their First Ever ‘Gin GENIE.’ Could It Be You?

Pink Marmalade Gin has announced the search for their first-ever ‘Gin GENIE (Gin Evangelistic Nerd Improving Excellence),’ – to help out with monthly tastings, develop new recipes, and more.

The ‘chosen one’ will be instrumental in helping Pink Marmalade with a variety of gin-based tasks (and plenty of drinking). And what’s the reward, you ask? You’ve got it: a Pink Marmalade G&T for every day of the year (1 x 70cl bottle a month, for 12 months).

Pink Marmalade was founded by three friends: Will Burbage, Louis Jadwat and Isobel Harries, – who met whilst running immersive student club nights in Leeds.

The brand officially launched at the end of November 2019, where they unveiled their new product publicly for the first time at ‘The Beauty Awards 2019 with ASOS,’ – whilst running the gin bar. However, due to the events sector shutting down during lock-down last year, the trio decided to put all of their time into Pink Marmalade, moving forward.

We come from a background of music and immersive events, and we want to carry this forward into the gin world as our niche. We see ourselves as young, exciting and inventive, and we’d like to shine in what we do with gin,’ said the Founders.

The business was born out of a desire to produce a premium colour-changing gin unlike anything else on the market, and the trio worked tirelessly to produce a 100% natural spirit, made with: fresh grapefruit zest, kaffir lime leaf, chamomile, amongst other botanicals (and a secret recipe marmalade), resulting in a full-bodied, perfectly-balanced drink.

Created using a traditional single-shot method of distillation, the process began with a secret ingredient – their signature salted pink marmalade, which is then combined with other botanicals to create a dry, zesty, ultra-premium gin.

To date, Pink Marmalade has sold 12,000 bottles, with 70% of these sales being direct to consumer: they’ve sold through Amazon Prime, Not On The High Street, Master of Malt, and many more. The brand was also voted as the ‘best gin’ and ‘best flavoured gin’ by Shortlist in 2020 and 2021, and they won the ‘Best Food + Drink Product of the Year’ at Not On The High Street’s ‘Make Awards.’

To become their first ever ‘Gin GENIE,’ – entrants must be 18+ years of age and UK-based, and the search will run until 16th May, 2021.
