The B Collection: From Beautician To Anxiety To Lock-Down To Rave Reviews.

The B Collection was Founded by Rebecca Bolton, a former beautician and nail technician, – who created a skincare/cosmetics brand after being hit hard by the COVID pandemic, and after living with severe anxiety.

Seeing clients was an important part of Rebecca’s day-to-day life, pre-COVID. But lock-down life ultimately resulted in her feeling less stressed out, and more in control of her emotions. This was when Rebecca decided to pursue another avenue: her lifelong dream of owning her own beauty brand.

Prior to the COVID19 outbreak, Rebecca had already started to make cuticle oils and lash + brow serums for her clients to use post-treatment, but the pandemic inspired her to go full-steam ahead on creating an even bigger range of beauty products. The writing was on the wall: Rebecca knew she was onto something, so she decided to close her beauty treatments’ business, and focus on growing her brand new beauty brand, The B Collection, instead.

During lock-down, Rebecca created nourishing hand creams, lip balms, lip scrubs, tanning products, bath bombs, and more. Her brand, The B Collection now has over 50 products to boast, and their best-selling products are: the Eco Discs, the Pink Clay Face Mask, and the Lash + Brow Serum.

When the pandemic hit in March 2020, I had to close my business. I had no idea what I was going to do. Seeing clients was my life, and I was at a loss. Yet on the flipside, I also realised how less stressed, and more in control of my emotions I was,” she said.

Her experience with anxiety also played a big part in inspiring her to pursue The B Collection: “I used to suffer with anxiety and panic attacks. Pre-COVID, my life was rushed, unhealthy, and stressful. There was no room to grow, I ran on very little fuel, and I put other people’s feelings before my own.

But she decided to do something about it: “In August 2020, I started to talk about my mental health and well-being. When I released that our Facial Oil and Ice Globes customers were messaging to say how having a small routine at the end of their day had helped them to become less anxious, – and they were taking more time out for self care, I realised how important my brand was becoming.”

The B Collection now boasts hundreds of positive reviews on social media, with a loyal community of over 5k followers.
