Pip And Henry: The Sustainable Children’s Footwear Brand.

Launched in November 2021 by Jeroo Doodhmal, Pip And Henry is the sustainable children’s footwear brand that everyone’s talking about.

It all started, because Jeroo (a sustainability enthusiast) was concerned by how fast her daughter was growing out of her shoes: “Kids typically outgrow their shoes every 3-4 months in the early years of their lives, with an average child owning 15 pairs of shoes over the course of a year,” said Jeroo. “That’s 60 million pairs of children’s shoes bought in the UK alone!” she added.

What’s worse, is that most of these shoes end up in landfill and decompose slowly, – leaching harmful chemicals and toxins into the ground and water for years to come.

It was THIS frustration and outrage that led Jeroo to launch Pip And Henry, – the brand new, sustainable children’s footwear brand that makes stylish, comfortable and fun shoes for kids.

Pip And Henry ‘raises the bar,’ when it comes to using environmentally-friendly packaging, components and recycled materials (including organic cotton and plant based-fibres, to name just a few). Also, there’s an incentivised recycling scheme for outgrown shoes: simply send in your old shoes, and get £10 off your next order. Simple.

As part of her wider commitment to change, Jeroo has created some cool kids characters (which forms the basis of her brand), too: Pip (a little girl) and Henry (her dinosaur friend) can be enjoyed through various storybooks and games, – all of which helps children to understand how they can make better choices to improve the environment. These are available for FREE digitally, or for purchase as a paperback.

“Here’s to helping children take their first steps into the world more mindfully,” said Jeroo.

Prior to launching Pip And Henry, Jeroo has launched various side-hustles. She started her first business at the age of 17 (which sold accessories to a large gifting retailer in India).

She also prototyped a safety alarm device for women, AND sold various household items through a wide range of online marketplaces in the US.

Since launching, her brand, Pip And Henry – has incubated at Hatch Enterprise and LSE Generate, has won THREE nationally-recognised entrepreneurship competitions (including an ElleSE award for ‘Top Female Founder’), has secured listings on four marketplaces, AND was featured in Pebble Mag, – with a Guardian’s feature due this February.
