Enjoy Vibez Drinks’ Hibiscus, Ginger + Lime-flavoured Water.

Launched in December 2020, Vibez Drinks is a 100% natural hibiscus, ginger + lime-flavoured water, – that contains zero sugar, + a SUPER LOW fourteen calories.

The drink comes in a 250ml aluminium can (which is 97% more sustainable than plastic, and it’s much easier to recycle), – with two new variations set to launch this Spring.

Vibez Drinks’ Founding team is a father-son duo: Ivor (the father) and Eugene (the son) started their soft drinks business in Birmingham. The recipe was originally used by Ivor’s grandmother, which she passed down.

The drink’s main ingredient is hibiscus. Hibiscus is a plant that is mostly derived from hot climate countries, including Africa, South America, and the Caribbean. It’s PACKED with vitamins and antioxidants, and it can lower your blood pressure, too (as well as being renowned as ‘Sorrel’ in Jamaica).

With this in mind, Eugene spotted an opportunity to enhance his father’s recipe, to appeal to modern society (due to it’s health benefits). Although the drink is traditionally made with sugar, he suggested to his father to remove this (because of the health concerns often associated with sugar, nowadays). And despite the COVID-19 lock-down(s) happening in 2020, Eugene believed that this was the perfect time to launch the drink. So that’s what they did.

Shortly after launching in December that year (2020), demand quickly grew, and Vibez Drinks rapidly scaled up to a mass-production factory in Devon. Now, the brand is stocked in various vegan and health restaurants throughout Birmingham, Manchester, Nottingham, and London, with 6,000+ units sold to date, and a big online following amongst the vegan community on Instagram.

I am so proud that we’ve managed to help people to reduce their sugar intake, by providing them with a healthy drink alternative to water, without compromising on quality or taste,” said Eugene.

Prior to starting Vibez Drinks, Eugene joined E.ON’s Business Management and Entrepreneurship Graduate Scheme after graduating from Nottingham Trent University, and Ivor worked in Credit Management and Consultancy.
