The Transformation Chef produces a range of 30+ frozen ‘heat-to-eat,’ premium restaurant-standard meals, which are free from gluten, dairy, and refined sugar.

It’s a family-owned business, which is run by a husband-and-wife duo, named Chris and Rachel. The business inspiration came about, when Chris overheard heard Rachel complaining about the sheer amount of kitchen preparation work she had to do for her health regime. 

“Wouldn’t it be great if there was a company that did all this for you, and the food was really tasty?” thought Chris.  

NEXT UP: The Transformation Chef was formed. Using his creative and technical knowledge learned from fifteen+ years in the hospitality industry, Chris brought his vision of healthy, interesting, and delicious dishes to life in 2018.

Just recently, the business successfully raised a seed investment on Seedrs, to grow their sustainability-focused operations, and premium home-meal delivery business. Their aim is to scale up the operation, and to capture a bigger share of the UK’s growing ready meal and ready-to-cook market, which is currently valued at £3.1bn per annum.

The investment will also go towards new frozen storage space and packaging capability, to support higher volumes on the back of increased sales, which are expected to rise to £1.5m next year.

Also, a strong commitment to sustainability sits at the heart of company’s ethos, with environmental impact influencing all of their business operations. This includes procuring food and ingredients directly from source wherever possible, utilising food waste to support sustainable energy projects, and carbon-offsetting of all the company’s delivery miles, with a returns option for packaging to be used again.
