Socko Launches ‘The Montys Collection’ (100% Recycled Socks)

Socko is a woman-founded, sustainable sock brand, that’s revolutionizing the sock industry – with the launch of ‘The Montys Collection’ (100% recycled socks).

The new range (which is named after the actors from the movie, ‘The Full Monty’) is stylish, comfy, and sustainable – giving customers the opportunity to have a positive impact on the environment – without compromising on quality.

The products are made from waste (utilizing innovative materials), they’re eco-friendly, and they’re comfy to wear.

Socko combines Recover™ cotton spun with recycled PET bottles. They’re plated with ECONYL® regenerated nylon to create a unique blend, and… recycled elastane is used for the stretchy cuff – to create a snug fit.

But that’s not all. The materials used in the Montys collection are Global Recycled Standard certified – guaranteeing their sustainability, and their ethical sourcing. Also, to further reduce waste, and to promote longevity, each pair of Montys socks comes with a FREE mending kit, that includes a needle and a thread.

Emma Mathews (Socko’s Founder, and the author of “How to Quit Fast Fashion”) is passionate about sustainable fashion and craftsmanship. She started Socko to combine her love for craft, with her communication skills.
