Eduardo Salazar and Julio Guijarro (Petto Smart Nutrition’s Founders) come from a background of designing and launching high-quality products across various categories, including food and pet food. During their time in Japan, they were inspired by the country’s fresh and pure food offerings, which sparked something in the duo.

They felt inspired to launch Petto Smart Nutrition (‘Petto’ means ‘pet’ in Japanese), with a mission to transform dogs’ diets – to live healthier, fuller lives. The use of plant-and-insect-based protein (and recyclable packaging) – emphasizes their commitment to canine nutrition, and the sustainability of our planet.

Maya, my 12-year-old Labrador retriever, serves as our chief product tester, and she adores our Petto treats.
