Check Out The Rose Press Garden Flower Seed Advent Calendar

Try something different this Christmas, with The Rose Press Garden‘s innovative Flower Seed Advent Calendar: perfect for garden enthusiasts and outdoorsy types.

The calendar comes included with 24 packets of gorgeous flower seeds (for each day of December), 24 golden mini pegs, twine, instruction cards with sowing times, and top gardening tips.

The aim is to provide a new perspective on gardening (away from it being a “frumpy and elderly” pastime). The Rose Press Garden wants to help you turn your garden, balcony, and driveway into beautiful flower-filled spaces, no matter the size.

The increased interest in gardening has brought with it a slew of new gardeners. Whilst many are looking for new ways to grow their own vegetables and herbs, others are simply hoping to create a beautiful garden at a time when the world seems a bit grey.

There are also monthly subscription boxes available that include(s) five packets of gorgeous flower seeds delivered direct to your doorstep. Each box contains step-by-step instruction cards to guide you through each stage of making your garden beautiful, and with every order, a £1 donation is made to Greenfingers Charity.

Lizzie Fox (The Rose Press Garden’s Founder) has always loved flowers, but it wasn’t until the 2020 lock-down that she realised just how special her garden was to her: a simple pleasure and source of peace in a crazy world.

The business idea was born by the delivery of seeds from a well-known brand that was accompanied by three advertising leaflets. The first for a leather reclining chair (the ones you see in old people’s houses), the second for some elasticated waistband trousers, and the third, a holiday brochure featuring a smiley, 80-year-old couple – hardly inspiring reading material for a young and enthusiastic gardener!

Lizzie saw an opportunity to make gardening modern and fun: she spotted a gap in the market, and she went with her gut. Previously, she worked in food marketing for a large corporate company, where she learned all about branding and marketing that she now uses in her own business, instead. “Gardening is for everyone, of all ages. I want to help new beginner gardeners to create beautiful gardens, easily,” said Lizzie.

Their biggest achievement to date was exhibiting at the RHS Chelsea Flower Show within the first year of business, and they landed a garden centre listing, and a month-on-month increased subscription growth.
