The famous BLOW Hairdryer by Michael Douglas’ Mdlondon – has been awarded with a ‘Quiet Mark,’ for its ‘quietest performance in the global hair dryer category.’
The ‘Quiet Mark’ is the independent certification program that’s associated with the Noise Abatement Society.
At a powerful yet quiet 1600w (which is 10db quieter than most hairdryers), the BLOW Hairdryer‘s DC brush-less motor allows users to dry and talk at the same time.
Further insight from the Quiet Mark acousticians summarised that BLOW’s level only varied between 2 to 3 decibels with every speed change, and that overall, the product was perceived to be quieter than the level it was measured at, likely thanks to its frequency distribution, which felt ‘less intrusive’ than similar appliances at a close distance.
This achievement has catapulted Blow to another expert level – making it one of the very few hair dryers in history to secure the quietest set, which is a significant technical achievement.

Michael started his journey back in 1994 when he moved from Lancashire to London. There, he quickly established himself in the high stakes hair styling circuit, tending to the tresses of the world’s most famous supermodels, including Claudia Schiffer, Naomi Campbell, Kate Moss, and Yasmin Le Bon.
Michael moved through the fashion week calendar year on year as a go to name for styling, before embarking on editorial shoots for the likes of Vogue, Glamour, Grazia and Marie Claire, as well as working on global beauty campaigns for famous beauty houses. He’s taken his wealth of knowledge and experience, and he’s used it to become a household TV, radio, and social expert for all things hair.
