Mr Bug: An Insect Protein Brand: Revolutionizing Pet Treats.

Mr Bug (a renowned insect protein company with healthy, hypo-allergenic, sustainable insect-based dog treats) is preparing to launch a new Protein Power Shaker.

The product will join the company’s existing offering, Bug Bites – marking a significant step towards its vision of entering the dog food market. With a long-term goal of expanding into animal feed, Mr Bug aims to change public perceptions, and highlight the merits of insect protein as a sustainable protein source.

Established in 2020 during lock-down, Mr Bug began as a humble box of meal-worms in Founder Conal’s kitchen. Last September, in 2022, the company celebrated the launch of Bug Bites, its debut product.

Since then, Mr Bug has been dedicated to revolutionizing the food industry, by providing sustainable protein solutions – that meet global demand, whilst also minimizing environmental impact.

Conal had an eclectic background prior to starting Mr Bug: “after a rather ignoble exit from school, I joined the marines, which was a good way of keeping me out of trouble in my late teens. After that, I started a music rehearsal and recording studio in Shepherds Bush, which I have run for the last 20 years or so,” said Conal.
